Mikhael Paskalev
Mikhael Paskalev is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Ålesund, Norway. Born on 24 May 1987 to a Bulgarian father and Norwegian mother, Mikhael Paskalev studied at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. He plays pop music rooted in indie and alternative country rock. Inspired by names such as Paul Simon, The Shins, Tom Waits, Edward Sharpe .. and the Everly Brothers. Paskalev's set varies from acoustic songs where his soulful voice is only backed by a guitar, to gypsy waltzes backed by ramshackle brass and a circus of energy. With a band full of charisma and ideas, he shows a rare quality. Paskalev's strength lies in his ability to create melodious tunes which are sometimes brazenly catchy but never strays from his rusty and wonderful sound. Mikhael Paskalev is a 24-year-old boy from Ålesund who just finished his music education in Liverpool. He began performing as Mikhael Paskalev a little over a year ago. He plans to release a single this summer, a couple more throughout the year and finally an album in the early spring of 2012. This summer he will be playing some concerts with Billie Van and Jonas Alaska and also working on the album. He is recording at
Ocean Sound Recordings. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
